Steven Jenkins is a potter, author and artist working from his beautiful studio in Frome, Somerset. After having the privilege of collaborating with Steven in late 2024, we’re thrilled to introduce his stunning oval pots to our collection, just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Hand-built from terracotta clay and carefully fired, each pot features a pair of doves in flight on one side, with a bunch of skeletal hogweed on the other—both delicately painted by Steven. This dual decoration ensures the pots can be appreciated from any angle. The interior is glazed in a vibrant blue, reflecting candlelight beautifully.

What we love about Steven’s work is the bold, expressive brushstrokes of flora and fauna that adorn every piece. As fans of traditional blue-and-white china, we were drawn to the timeless colour combination Steven has called upon on these pots.

Filled with a selection of our signature candle blends, each pot features two wicks for a bright, even burn and a strong scent throw. Once the candle has burned down, simply wash the vessel with warm, soapy water to give it a new lease of life.

Candle care is especially important with two-wick candles. To ensure a safe and even burn, please follow these tips:

  • Trim the wicks to 5mm before each use
  • Burn for 2-4 hours at a time, allowing the melt pool to reach the edges of the vessel
  • Place on a level, heat proof surface away from draughts
  • Cease use when only 5mm of wax remains
  • Wash the vessel with warm, soapy water to remove any residual wax, and hand wash it after each use

Dimensions: 7.3cm tall x 12cm wide x 7cm deep.

As each piece is handmade, small variations to the above dimensions can be expected.

Approximate burn time: 20-25 hours
Handmade in Somerset & Dorset
