New from La Soufflerie, Angelo Bouchon is mouth-blown from recycled glass. 'Green smoke' is made from a mixture of green and grey glass, giving it a muted, organic tone.
A fresh take on the classic range of head vessels La Soufflerie is renowned for, the inverted opening allows this to be used as a lid for a bottle or simply as a stunning piece of glass sculpture. As these are handmade, there is a pontil mark on the crown of the head. This is where the glass blowing pipe was broken off, so is a slightly rough small area. It is a sign of the fiery, elemental process it takes to make glass by hand.
La Soufflerie shot to fame when a head-shaped beaker, Vase Tête, was featured in the New York Times Christmas Gift Guide in 2018. Since then, the magnetic quality of their pieces has been a constant source of joy and inspiration.
La Soufflerie is based in Paris. Operating as a non-profit company, they support artisans in the ancient art of glassblowing to keep the craft alive. All pieces are made from 100% recycled glass.
